Kenya is located on the shores of the Indian Ocean in eastern Africa. The southern border of the republic borders with Tanzania, the northern one with Ethiopia, the western one with Uganda, the north-western one with Sudan, and the northeastern one with Somalia. Southeast Kenya is located on the ocean coast.
Mount Kenya is an extinct volcano that dominates the landscape of the Kenyan Highlands east of the Great Rift Valley and is Africa's second highest peak after Kilimanjaro. Travelers come to this park for hiking or climbing Mount Kenya.
In nat. Mount Kenya park is inhabited by wild animals: elephants, eland antelopes, monkeys. Leopards, bongos and rhinos are rarely seen.
